📍 Incident at Kapil Sharma’s Café Kap Cafe

In a social media post, Laddi stated that the shooting was a retaliation for alleged derogatory remarks made about Nihang Sikhs on Sharma’s television show, “The Kapil Sharma Show.” Laddi emphasized that such mockery of religious identities would not be tolerated. He also mentioned attempts to contact Sharma’s management, which reportedly went unanswered.

In the aftermath of the attack, Kap’s Café issued a statement expressing shock and reaffirming its commitment to fostering a welcoming community space.
“We opened Kap’s Café with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock but we are not giving up.”
The café also extended gratitude to the Surrey and Delta Police for their swift response and efforts to ensure safety during this challenging time.
